The Beginning
Hey SED!
First off I must say how great it is to have a new, working website! James and the Governors have been working really hard to get this up and running, so I hope to see lots of brothers using it, I know I will.
It's been little over a week since Convention, thank you all for such a wonderful and productive time! I had a great time meeting people from all over the place and learning from our speakers. I am grateful for the opportunity given to me to be the Member-at-Large South, and I can't wait to start putting into practice all that I have learned about brotherhood and leadership so far.
This past weekend I traveled to the Zeta Upsilon chapter at Troy University for their annual Step for Life show. It was so much fun, and for a very good cause. The show is a fundraiser for American Cancer Research and the Bone Marrow Foundation. I saw many chapters in the SED represented there, and I was one of many brothers and sisters that signed up to be a marrow donor. It is an honor to be selected to serve, and those that signed up might have to honor of saving another person's life, maybe even a brother's.
It is good to see brothers and sisters stepping and hanging out and using even that to help our community. If any other chapters have similar projects or fundraisers, let us know! Post it on the calendar on the website or send an email to any of the officers. We would love to support you and come out to see what our fellow brothers are doing.
Striving High,
